Gustav, 1963 VW Double Cab Truck

The headlights were original & functional but the metal parts had surface rust & disintegrated paint.  So I bought parts from Wolfsburg West including mounting screws, lens seals, & bulbs.

 

After disassembly the metal parts were stripped, primed, & painted Stone Gray. New 12V bulbs were installed and the lights were reassembled.

 

I discovered that the authentic lenses were E1 versions and mine had SB19-21 lenses, so I had to search for the right pair to make the headlights complete.  I found a matching pair for $100 which made the lights complete & authentic.
