Gustav, 1963 VW Double Cab Truck

Work trucks & commercial vehicles were issued different format license plates in California in the 1960's.  So when I went looking for a set of original plates, I looked for a special number or letter.  When I found this set the number 265 (Model 265) jumped-out at me.  Perfect!

 

I contacted the seller who had all the paperwork, ttitle for the plates, and even accepted my $200 offer.

 

I cleaned the plates & applied a couple coats of clear to bring out the colors without restoring them.
