Pedal Splash Pan & Accelerator Cable

When I went to replace the accelerator cable I found the pedal splash pan was in need of some serious restoration.  It likely had not been removed in decades.  Inside were mud wasp nests, animal debris, and lots of dirt.  The surface was rusty but had not gone through the pan.

Used a metal brush to remove the large debris.  Then used the grinder to take the rust down to bare metal.  Then I applied a rust conversion chemical to prevent any rust from reappearing.  The pan was primed & painted Light Gray.

With the pan off it was the perfect time to change the accelerator cable.  Clipped the old cable & pulled it out.  But when installing the new cable it wouldn't go past the protective tube over the trans.  So that was pulled, the cable pushed through & reinstalled.
