Gustav, 1963 VW Double Cab Truck

I worked hard to get the truck to the Vintage VW Spring Festival in Carlsbad.  It was the 30th anniversary of my founding of this event so it holds a special place in my heart.

At 630am Jason Weigel & buddy Stuart drove over in his 1977 Westfalia Camper to provide support during the 40 mile drive.  Fortunately the truck ran great and had no issues.

The show had 210+ VWs and was packed!  Lots of friends there too.  We ate breakfast at Ruby's Diner and then explored the show & cars.  We also made a special presentation of the stolen Bus story.  Adam & his family were there to tell the story along with Ken, Timm, & myself.
