In March 2013 Glen Puller saw the truck advertised locally and knew it was worth buying.  He had lots of experience with Buses and decided to trade his 1963 Panel Van + cash to get the truck.  He removed the Beetle rims & restored a set of 15" Bus rims.  He bought new 205 radial tires in preparation of getting it rolling again.  He pulled the engine (a Beetle replacement) and had a 1835cc short block built for it, but did not have time to get the engine fully assembled.

 

After a year he changed his mind and decided to sell the truck in favor of buying a Karmann Ghia Cabriolet.  He listed the truck in June and sold it in July.
