Upholstery

There were no sources for T34 interiors in 1999 so I decided to have Jose Rodriquez in Oceanside build one from scratch.  I gave him the Cabriolet sales brochure as a reference and told him to use vinyl rather than the cloth that was fitted to the T34 Coupes.  At the time I did not consider that the Ruby cars were fitted with gray interiors.

He used Bus middle panels from TMI to get the heat-seamed material to create the interior panels.  He used TMI's Off-White for the light vinyl and I chose a vinyl color that closely matched the brochure for the dark vinyl.

Seat frames were painted with Wolfsburg West's Anthracite spray paint.  Carpet kit was made from inexpensive American loop with vinyl binding.

The rear boot cover was created based on the Cabriolet brochure images with snaps in the same locations.  Padding & oil-board pieces gave it the shape that mimics a folded-down roof.
