Bodywork

The T34 returned home in late-February and I immediately began stripping it to bare metal.  I worked in the garage & on the driveway, stripping one panel at a time until the entire car was bare.

Surprisingly there was little rust on this T34 that had been in the high desert of Southern California since 1971.  Both front wheel well areas at the rocker panels had holes.  And the battery area into the rear footwell was rusted-out.  Ron Batson handmade fresh metal panels for these areas while it was being converted.

I worked four months to get the body as straight as possible, then had it towed off to the paint shop for final prep & paint in June 2000.
