"Ruby" 1962 T34 Cabriolet

Lee owned a low-mileage Sea Blue 1965 T34 Coupe and really wanted to find an early-1962 T34 to build into a Cabriolet.  He got a call from another T34 owner Dirk Brogdon in Oxnard CA that had been approached by a guy that claimed to have an early T34.

 

Lee contacted the owner Bud Hawk and learned he actually had two T34s. Since the T34s were in Sylmar (an hour north of Los Angeles, Lee & Scott Perry drove up to see it.

 

When they arrived at the ranch there were old cars everywhere.  The T34 was covered in dirt and the front window had been rolled-down during the past 28 years of storage.

 

Lee confirmed the VIN # was an early one (#0 001 776) and paid Bud $2000 for it immediately.
