"Ruby" 1962 T34 Cabriolet

I had previewed the build process with the T34 Registry members so it wasn't a big surprise to be contacted by the Japanese magazine "Let's Play VWs" to be the first to feature it in their Dec 2000 edition.  The rocker panel trims had not even been installed yet and the ugly wicker under-dash parcel tray was fitted.  Photographed it in a cul-de-sac in my neighborhood, they added a photo of my son Dillon, who looks so young.

The American magazine "Hot VWs" was next to call, with Dean Kirsten shooting it at our local movie theatre area.  The article was titled "Living A Dream".  To my surprise it was selected for the very prestigious Vintage Special and it made the cover for the July 2001 edition!

The last magazine article was the UK-based "VolksWorld" that did an outstanding article titled "The Cutting Edge" for their Nov 2001 edition.  Stephan Szantai came out to shoot it in La Jolla with the waves in the background.  It also made the cover and I was very happy.
