Map Pockets

The 55 year old door panel map pockets were badly sagging despite the panels themselves being in excellent condition. Pedro said it was easy to adjust the elastic, so I gave it a try.

Removed the lower panel, glued the oil skin paper into place, then removed the vinyl covering to find the elastic hooks. Opened up the clasps and drilled holes 2" away from original holes. Inserted the hooks and flattened the clasps. Then glued it all back together.

The right side door insulation had come down so that needed to be reglued & attached inside the door shell.

Now the map pockets are tight!
